THE SAMPLE

Taking the sample:

  1. Part the hair horizontally at the nape and lift up the top cover hair.
  2. Cut the hair off directly from the scalp.
  3. Only use the first 3 cm measured from he scalp – long hair must be shortened accordingly and the remaining hair disposed of..
  4. Lift the next “row” of hair and repeat the procedure until the needed amount of hair is obtained (minimum 0,5 gm). The hair is weighed on the enclosed weight.. 
Guidance on how a hair sample should be taken:

In general it is of great importance for the reliability of the hair analysis that the correct procedure is followed when taking the hair sample:

  • In order to secure sufficient testing it is necessary with a hair sample of minimum 0,5 gm. 

  • Hair from the back of the neck is the best source. Pubic hair should only be used in special cases. Hair from different parts of the body must never be mixed.

  • Please use a clean scissors, preferable of pure steel or ceramic.

  • Fill in the questionnaire sheet carefully and in capital letters.

  • Please use the small original plastic bag.

  • Please do remember to write your name on the plastic bag.
